Recently, the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) bidding for the Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park Project in Longjing City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, officially began. The total construction area of the project is 220,000 square meters, and the main construction will include an annual production capacity of 9,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber, 50,000 sets of carbon fiber hydrogen tanks, new thermoplastic carbon fiber and shells, and other carbon fiber industrial projects, along with the procurement of air compression energy storage systems and related equipment. According to the tender documents, the planned construction start date is January 24, 2025, and the planned completion date is December 31, 2027, with a construction period of 1,071 calendar days.
According to online information, Chunhui Emerging Materials Industry Park (Yanbian) Co., Ltd. was established on February 20, 2023. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Beijing Chunhui Chaoyue Technology Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 100 million RMB. The company is located at Room 216, 2nd Floor, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, Xingye Street, Longjing Border Economic Cooperation Zone. The company’s business scope includes the manufacturing and sales of graphite and carbon products, and the research and development of new material technologies.

January 13, 2024: The tender information for the Longjing Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park Project was released, stating that the total construction area of the project would be 220,000 square meters. The main construction would involve a carbon fiber high-tech industry park, including an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons of high-performance carbon fiber, 50,000 sets of carbon fiber hydrogen tanks, new thermoplastic carbon fiber and shells, and an industrial processing area for the production of 3 million anti-explosion tires.
March 28, 2024: The Jilin Daily published an article titled "Longjing: Key Project Construction Progressing Smoothly," which highlighted that the Longjing Border Economic Cooperation Zone planned to invest 5.253 billion RMB in 2024 for 12 key projects, including the Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park and Pharmaceutical Industry Park.
August 1, 2024: The "Yanbian Business" publication reported that the estimated total investment for the Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park project was 4 billion RMB. The project would occupy an area of 200,000 square meters, with a construction area of 145,000 square meters. The main construction would include the T1000 carbon fiber production line, carbon fiber hydrogen tank production line, polyphenylene ammonia battery assembly line, new energy vehicle electromechanical integration parts production line, special automotive glass production line, and new thermoplastic carbon fiber and shell production line.
September 6, 2024: The Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture government website published an article emphasizing the carefully planned Longjing Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park project. It follows the "one park, three zones" development model, accelerating the implementation of high-performance carbon fiber industrial processing zones, carbon fiber hydrogen tank processing zones, and new thermoplastic carbon fiber and shell industrial processing zones, with the goal of creating a high-level industrial cluster for carbon fiber high-tech industries.
October 13, 2024: Chunhui Emerging Materials Industry Park (Yanbian) Co., Ltd. secured a land plot in Longjing City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, with a transaction price of 27.67 million RMB.
November 16, 2024: The "Changchun Development" public account published a list of 74 industrial construction projects in Jilin Province that were approved for commencement in November, which included the Carbon Fiber High-tech Industry Park project in Longjing City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture (approved project), as well as the proposed projects in Songyuan City, Jilin Province, such as the Jilin Jirun New Materials Co., Ltd. annual production of 4,000 tons of carbon fiber heating materials project, and the Qianan Zhongyuan Shenfei Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. carbon fiber production project.
