Quartz Fiber Felt is produced from 3-5 or 9-14 microns quartz fiber wool that is impregnated with an organic binder.
Application:
l High temperature insulation in aircraft engine environment. Quartz fiber felt is very often used between two welded foils of refractory alloys, due to its superior insulation performance/weight ratio, good resistance to vibrations, high life cycle.
l Domestic and industrial heaters. Quartz fiber felt is used as asupport for the catalyst. Good mechanical integrity after long term exposure in high temperature. Quick start-up due to its excellent oxidation. Easy to cut. Suitable with low quality gases.
l Furnace closures and insulation. Used widely for industrial furnaces and silicon wafer treament.
